CMAC Industry Director

Massimo Bresciani is the industry director at the Advanced Crystallisation and Medicines Manufacturing Research Centre based at Strathclyde (CMAC) and is actively supporting the group of professors of practice at Strathclyde University on various strategic initiatives.
Bresciani holds an MBA and has a wealth of experience from over 25 years spent in the pharmaceutical sector in senior industrial R&D and manufacturing roles and at the interface between research and commercial application of innovative solutions. Massimo’s consolidated multidisciplinary expertise in pharmaceutical development and drug delivery technologies applies to both generic drugs and NCEs and includes experience in the regulatory landscape. He has a consolidated multidisciplinary expertise in pharmaceutical development and drug delivery technologies applied to generic drugs and NCEs from lead optimization throughout all the preclinical and clinical phase. He is experienced in working at the interfaces with all the other scientific disciplines in a strongly integrated R&D context.
He is active internationally in business development, alliance management and creation of competitive partnership, collaborative alliances, and pre-competitive consortia, including EU and international/national grants. He has a proven track record of overachievement against revenue, scientific implementation. and growth goals; he is a decision maker based on facts and both short and long-term vision. Bresciani is also a Geriatric Medicine Society board member and active in the field of patient centric and life science initiatives.
