The International Consortium for Advanced Medicines Manufacturing (ICAMM) brings together decision makers, suppliers, regulators, and researchers to promote the industry-wide adoption and implementation of continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing.
We advocate for government, industry, and foundation support to provide incentives, offer opportunities for training and the exchange of expertise, and work to increase support from corporate leadership for the integration of CPM processes.
Our first International Symposium on Continuous Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals was held at MIT in 2014 in response to a call by Janet Woodcock, head of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the FDA, to align on making continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing a reality. Since then we have held symposia in person and online, generating a series of white papers, case studies, and presentations that form a crucial body of knowledge around this potentially revolutionary paradigm shift.
